Vladimir Krasniakov BSc (Honours) in Natural Sciences (Physics), Postgraduate Certificate in Education
Director and Founder of Cambridge Online Academy, Physics and Mathematics Teacher

My journey into teaching philosophy started when I was a student myself. It has been fascinating to read and investigate the writings of scholars concerned with the fundamental principles of learning. Using this knowledge, I started to help children at my school in their studies, and I contributed to the delivery of teaching and tutorials by providing personal academic support and mentoring for groups of students. I continued to do so throughout my University years.

I was always interested in sciences and the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics, which I have been granted by the University, made possible for me to teach others and share this fascinating knowledge with my students. My first real teaching position as a Physics teacher was at the Greenfields School where I began to expand my knowledge by concurrently studying at the University of Buckingham for Postgraduate Qualification in Education and working through the Teachers’ Standards.

Working alongside many teachers and collaborating with other schools made me realise that underachieving students and over-filled classrooms are today all too common. I recognised that the cookie-cutter, assembly-line approach to education is badly in need of an update – hence Cambridge Online Academy was born, with the simple aim of helping young people around the world get a top-quality education. I always intended to create a school which offers a safe, friendly, and supportive environment; a school where children will be given not only the skills and knowledge needed to pass qualifications but also entire approaches to learning that will serve them throughout their lives.

Jyotsna Maity RSci, BSc, PGCE with QTS
Head of Cambridge Online Academy India, Chemistry and Biology Teacher

I am a firm believer that only education has the power to bring about a positive change in an individual. I caught the teaching bug while running a non-profit organisation in India which promoted awareness about human rights. Soon after, I moved to the UK and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

I have taught in the UK in both the Independent and government sector. I have also helped hundreds of students as their tutor. I am a registered scientist with ASE, and teaching Science and Mathematics are my passion. I love to see the spark in student’s eyes when they finally understand something. A quote I often hear from my students after a lesson is “as if someone lit a bulb”, and that is my proudest moment.

I am a humanitarian at heart and have been involved with various non-profit organisations over the years. In my college years (I have a B.Sc from Delhi University), I worked as a peer educator with Naz Foundation and Breakthrough spreading awareness about HIV. I ran Youth for Human Rights India for several years and conducted workshops in elite educational institutions like IIT Delhi. I am currently involved in running an English Language Club in rural West Bengal to improve the employability of the local youth.

I believe that online learning is the future of education. Quality education should be accessible to everyone, and virtual learning makes this possible. Anyone anywhere with an internet connection can access the best possible teachers and resources. What’s keeping you from getting the best there is? Grab your laptop and begin your journey with us!

Antonina Krasnyakova MA in Linguistics
Administrative Manager and Co-Founder of Cambridge Online Academy

My name is Antonina Krasnyakova, and I am a co-founder of the Cambridge Online Academy. My education journey started in Russia. At first, it was a course with an in-depth study of the English language. I then went to Moscow State University to study Modern Languages at the Faculty of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. I’ve always enjoyed helping people and developing their potential. This is the goal of our Academy. I also have a lot of experience in the administration. Our Academy is growing very fast, and we are helping talented and capable children to improve their skills and open the doors to a stable and prosperous future.

For me, there is nothing better than to hear from my 7-year-old daughter “Mom I love to learn!” I think our future depends on the quality of education of today’s children, as they will be the leaders of our society in the future. And we are here to do everything for that prosperous future to become a reality.
