How do I enrol my child?

Simply fill out our online enrolment application form. Once we’ve received it, our Admissions Team will contact you within 48 hours and guide you through the next steps of the enrolment process. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have and offer a course recommendation based on your child’s previous school work and your input.

What kind of computer and other equipment will I need for my child's online learning?

All of our systems can be accessed using your home computer or laptop, providing you have the following:

  • a laptop or desktop that runs on up-to-date software and has
    decent processing power
  • a broadband internet connection with a minimum of 2Mbps upload
    and download speed
  • working headphones with a microphone
  • a mouse pen or a tablet with a stylus is a plus, but not required

When can my child start classes?

We require that you apply at least 3 weeks before the date you intend for your child to start classes.

For Cambridge Primary (Year 3-6) and Cambridge Lower Secondary (Year 7, 8, and 9) pupils can join throughout the academic year.

For Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE – Year 10 and 11) as well as Cambridge Advanced (Year 12 and 13) we strongly recommend that your child doesn’t join past the halfway point of the academic year. However, our Admissions Team is happy to review your circumstances and make exceptions when appropriate.

What are the term dates?

The Indian school year consists of four terms:
Term 1 (September – October)

Term 2 (October – December) 

Term 3 (January – March)

Term 4 (March – June)

What happens if we enrol part-way through the academic year?

If a student joins us mid-year, our academic staff and instructors will design a catch-up plan specific to his or her needs. One-on-one tutoring is also always available.

Which year group should my child be enrolled in?

We begin with Year 3 (age 7-8 ) and teach students up to Year 13 (age 18-19). However, we do not force students to adhere to strict conventional class designations based on age. Our Admissions Team can arrange assessment tests in Maths, English and Science to determine the appropriate year group for your child.

Will I have to buy textbooks?

Yes, a list of required books will be provided to you during the enrolment process. Many of the books you’ll need are available from Amazon or a similar delivery company in your area. We are also happy to order the books for you and ship them to your location.

What is the cost?
  • The enrolment fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment of ₹ 3500.
  • Tuition fees vary depending on your child’s year group and how many courses they
    take. For a list of exact prices, click here.
  • The cost of books will vary. A complete list of titles your child needs will be
    provided by our Admissions Team during enrolment.
  • Sitting exams at Cambridge International Exam Centres requires a separate fee.
    You’ll be provided with a list of exam centres and contact details during the
    admissions process

How can I pay?

We offer a wide range of flexible payment options. You can also pay by international bank transfer, or by credit card via the secure payment system on our website.

What if we change our minds after enrolment?

If you decide to leave us before your child attends his or her first lesson, you will receive a full refund of tuition fees. (The ₹ 3500 enrolment fee is non-refundable.)

If you decide to leave us once your child has already begun attending classes, we require a full term’s notice in writing on or before a term’s first day to qualify for withdrawal at the end of that term. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information here.

Is there a minimum number of courses a child must take each term?

We don’t have a fixed minimum, but we strongly recommend each student enrol in the core Maths, English and Science courses at a minimum.

Do we have to travel to the UK for exams?

No. For Primary and Lower Secondary students (Years 3-6 and Years 7-9 respectively), all exams are in-house, online exams administered by us.

For Upper Secondary and Advanced students (Years 10-13 ) requiring exams like the International GCSEs or A/AS Levels, your child will need to sit exams at an official Cambridge International Exam Centre. We will provide you with a complete list, including contact information.

Who accepts Cambridge Qualifications?

Cambridge Qualifications are accepted by prestigious universities around the world, including US Ivy League universities and all universities in the UK.

Can I apply for a scholarship award?

We welcome applications for scholarships from exceptional students. Our scholarships fund allows us to offer a small number of scholarship awards of up to 50% of the tuition fees.

To apply for a scholarship award, please submit a Cambridge Online Academy application form explaining the student’s area of strength and why they should be considered for a scholarship award.

Please note, to be considered for a scholarship award, your child must take a minimum number of subjects as follows:

  • At least 5 subjects for Cambridge Primary Level
  • At least 7 subjects for Cambridge Lower Secondary Level
  • At least 7 subjects for Cambridge Upper Secondary Level (iGCSEs)
  • At least 4 subjects for Cambridge Advanced Level (AS & A Level)

Is the Cambridge Advanced Level (AS & A Level) recognised by the Indian Universities?

The Association of Indian Universities, the organisation that awards equivalence to foreign degrees in India, has granted equivalence to Cambridge International A Levels, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O Levels. This ensures smooth progression for Cambridge students who choose to study at the Universities in India.

Can my child shift to a National Curriculum after taking Cambridge IGCSEs?

Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is the nodal agency in India that gives equivalence to foreign qualifications. AIU recognizes passes in 5 Cambridge IGCSE subjects including English Language as equivalent to Standard 10 of an Indian Exam Board.

What are IGCSEs & A-Levels?

IGCSE stands for International General Certificate for Secondary Education. In the United Kingdom educational system, 14-16 year old sit for subject-specific exams at the end of their secondary education called General Certificate of Secondary Education. Cambridge’s curriculum is designed for learners located anywhere globally, hence the term international before GCSE.

Advanced Levels or A-Levels are subject-based qualifications that British students aged 16 or older must get if they plan to enter university or just want to gain better knowledge in a particular study area or profession they’re into. It is comparable to the 11th and 12th standard CBSE curriculums.

The Cambridge Advanced Level or A-Level is a programme conducted by the prestigious Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), the United Kingdom, for students located in any part of the world. The Cambridge A-Level programme is the gateway to the most prestigious universities worldwide.
